Choose what your assistant can change
Once the add-on is on, a connection can read straight away. Every write capability starts off, and you turn on only the ones you want.
Turn on the MCP add-on
MCP is separate from the API & Zapier add-on, and it's in private beta. Without it, every tool is refused, including read tools. A company owner, or someone with the Manage company settings permission, can press Enable MCP add-on in MCP Settings. If you manage subscriptions, you can also add it under Browse plans. If it isn't offered, contact support to have it enabled for your company.
Turn on a capability
Open MCP Settings from Settings, then Add-on Settings. Company-wide switches apply to every connection, and a change takes effect immediately, with no need to reconnect.
A single connection can also be set to Inherit, On or Off. Its setting beats the company-wide one, and Inherit goes back to following it.
There's a second check too: the permissions you approved when you connected. If a tool says a permission is missing, reconnect from your assistant and approve it on the QuoteCloud screen.
How risky changes are held
Some tools change or remove things in ways that are hard to undo. QuoteCloud doesn't run these on the first request. It sends your assistant a preview and a one-time code, and only runs the change if the same request comes back with that code within 10 minutes. How the preview reaches you depends on your assistant. Each tool's page says whether this applies.
Stop a connection
Revoke a connection in MCP Settings and it loses access immediately. To use it again, reconnect from your assistant.
Every capability
High-impact capabilities are company-wide or destructive, and can't always be undone. MCP Settings marks them with a warning.
