The Trip Summary is a consolidated overview of an itinerary that groups flights, hotels, transfers, tours and transport services into a single, easy-to-read section. The Weather feature displays destination weather forecasts for supported itinerary locations directly inside the itinerary document.
Both features help you deliver clearer client travel documents when using QuoteCloud as your sales quoting software or proposal software.
How do I enable the Trip Summary for an itinerary segment?
Open the itinerary document and locate the flight (or other travel) segment you want to configure. Right-click the segment to open its context menu, then select Show Trip Summary. Finally, click the Preview button in the top-right of the editor to view the Trip Summary inside the itinerary preview.
How do I enable destination weather forecasts in an itinerary?
Within the itinerary editor, right-click the flight (or supported) segment and choose Show Weather from the segment context menu. Open the itinerary Preview to see the destination weather forecasts appear directly inside the itinerary for supported locations.
How do I disable the Trip Summary or Weather once they are enabled?
To disable either feature, return to the itinerary editor, right-click the same itinerary segment, and deselect Show Trip Summary or Show Weather in the segment context menu. Exit and re-open Preview to confirm the section has been removed from the client view.
Which itinerary segments support Trip Summary and Weather settings?
Trip Summary and Weather are configured from individual itinerary segment controls and apply to common travel segment types including flights, hotels, transfers, tours and transport services. Weather forecasts appear only for supported destination locations.
How can I preview changes before sending a client their travel document?
After enabling or disabling Trip Summary and Weather on a segment, click the Preview button in the top-right of the editor. The Preview shows exactly how the Trip Summary and any weather forecasts will display in the final itinerary document. Exit preview to continue editing.
Will Trip Summary and Weather appear in exported PDFs or client-shared documents?
Yes. Anything shown in the itinerary Preview — including the Trip Summary and supported destination weather forecasts — will be included in exported or client-shared itinerary documents. Use the Preview step to verify how the content will look to recipients.
Do Trip Summary and Weather interact with layout or integrations like two-column pages or accounting integrations?
Trip Summary and Weather are content options inside itinerary pages and will display within your chosen document layout (for example a two-column layout) without breaking templates. They are independent of integrations such as QuickBooks and related bookkeeping workflows, so you can customise client-facing travel details while maintaining backend integrations used by your sales proposal software or quote software.
