FAQs
What does the "Copy an existing travel document template" feature do in QuoteCloud?
The Copy Existing Travel Document Template feature duplicates a saved itinerary or travel document so you can quickly create new itineraries without rebuilding layouts or content from scratch.
This saves time for travel teams and keeps documents consistent and professional — a big win when using sales quoting software or proposal software to deliver polished travel quotes and proposals.
How do I copy a travel document template in QuoteCloud?
From the Dashboard click the green Create Document button and choose From a Template. In the Create a Document modal browse the Template Gallery on the left and select Travel Agencies, pick a travel itinerary template, enter the document title and (optionally) recipient details, then complete the setup to generate the document in your Documents Dashboard.
Once created, locate the document in the Documents table, click the dropdown next to Edit and select Save as Template to convert the document into a reusable template in your QuoteCloud account.
How do I save the copied document as a reusable template?
After you create a document from an existing template, open your Documents Dashboard, find the newly created document, click the dropdown arrow beside the Edit button and choose Save as Template. You’ll see a confirmation notification confirming the conversion.
The saved template then appears in your account so you or your team can use it repeatedly when building itineraries, quotes, or proposals with your quote software or proposal software.
Can I edit a copied travel template after saving it?
Yes. Once a copied document is saved as a template you can edit its layout, text blocks, images, and content libraries. Edits will apply to new documents created from that template without changing previously issued itineraries.
This flexibility makes it easy to tweak pricing tables, destination guides, or terms used in your sales quoting software and sales proposal software workflows.
What is a two-column layout in QuoteCloud and why use it?
A two-column layout splits a document page into left and right sections so you can present itinerary details and complementary content side-by-side — for example, service descriptions on one side and pricing or images on the other.
Two-column pages help create cleaner, more scannable itineraries and proposals, improving readability for clients reviewing travel quotes generated from your quote software or proposal software.
How do I create a two-column layout on a document page in QuoteCloud?
When editing a document or template, add a new page or edit an existing page and choose the two-column page layout option in the page layout settings. Then drop content blocks into the left and right columns, adjusting widths and alignment as needed.
Use the two-column layout to combine rich media, maps or photos with itinerary details so your sales proposal software outputs look polished and client-friendly.
How does copying templates help travel agencies using sales quoting or proposal tools?
Copying templates standardises branding, accelerates document creation, and reduces errors by reusing approved content blocks like terms, packing lists, and destination guides. This streamlines the creation of quotes and proposals so agents can respond faster to enquiries.
Integrated with GDS/mid-office imports and content libraries, these reusable templates make QuoteCloud a powerful quote software and proposal software companion for travel teams.
I don’t see the "Save as Template" option — what should I check?
First ensure the document was created successfully and you’re viewing it in the Documents Dashboard. The Save as Template option is in the dropdown beside the Edit button for that document.
If the option is missing, check your user permissions or plan level (some features vary by subscription) and contact your QuoteCloud administrator or support for help. Once enabled, saved templates are available for use across your quote software and proposal workflows.
