FAQs
What is a repeating price in a QuoteCloud sales quote price table?
A repeating price in QuoteCloud is a price line configured to recur over time inside a sales-quote price table. It represents ongoing charges—such as subscriptions, retainers, maintenance plans, or recurring service fees—so customers can see and accept the recurring cost directly in the quote.
When should I use a repeating price in my quotes?
Use a repeating price whenever you sell ongoing services or products that bill on a schedule instead of as a one-time fee. Typical use cases include subscription services, retainers, support contracts, maintenance agreements, and recurring add‑ons. Repeating lines are especially useful when using sales quoting software or sales proposal software to communicate and automate ongoing charges from the proposal stage.
What are the benefits of setting repeating prices in quotes?
Setting repeating prices simplifies recurring billing by capturing ongoing charges at the quoting stage, which reduces manual invoicing and administrative work. It improves pricing consistency across documents, makes recurring fees transparent to customers, and speeds handoff to invoicing and accounting workflows—advantages whether you are using QuoteCloud as quote software or proposal software.
Will repeating prices appear in generated proposals and other documents?
Yes. QuoteCloud’s document generation supports smart, interactive price tables, so repeating price lines included in a quote are reflected in generated proposals, PDFs, and online documents. That ensures customers see the same recurring amounts in final proposal documents as they did in the quote editor.
Can repeating prices be converted into invoices and synced with accounting software?
Yes. Repeating price lines can be used to drive invoicing workflows and can be converted into invoices for billing. QuoteCloud also supports integrations with accounting platforms—such as QuickBooks Online—so you can sync invoices and customer data to streamline bookkeeping and reduce duplicate data entry.
How do I set a repeating price in the quote editor?
In QuoteCloud’s price table you add a price line and configure it as a recurring charge so it repeats on the chosen schedule. This creates a distinct, ongoing line item customers can review in the quote. (Exact UI labels and scheduling options may vary by account and version; consult the QuoteCloud editor or user guide for step‑by‑step instructions.)
Can I mix one‑time charges and repeating prices in the same quote?
Yes. You can combine one‑time fees and repeating price lines in the same price table so customers see the full upfront cost alongside ongoing charges. This helps produce clearer proposals and faster approvals when you’re using quote software or proposal software to close recurring business.
How do repeating prices improve my sales proposal and accounting workflows?
Repeating prices make recurring revenue clear during the sales process, reduce negotiation friction by showing ongoing costs up front, and shorten the path from proposal acceptance to billing. When paired with QuoteCloud’s document generation and accounting integrations, repeating price lines help automate invoice creation, improve financial accuracy, and free up time for sales and finance teams.
