FAQs
What does adding products to a price table involve?
Adding products to a QuoteCloud price table means inserting items directly from your product catalogue into the pricing section of a sales quote or proposal. Each catalogue item brings its core details—product name, description and price—so the price table reflects accurate, catalogue-driven information without manual re-entry.
How can I add a product to the price table in QuoteCloud?
Open the pricing area of the sales quote or proposal editor and choose the Products option to search or browse your catalogue. From there you can click to insert a product into the price table or use drag-and-drop to place items exactly where you want them, speeding up quote creation in your quote software.
Can I add multiple products to a price table at once?
Yes. QuoteCloud lets you select multiple catalogue items and insert them into the price table in a single action. Bulk insertion saves time when building larger quotes or complex proposals and is especially useful when using sales quoting software for recurring bundles or frequently sold product sets.
What product details are imported when I add an item to the price table?
When you add a product, QuoteCloud imports core catalogue fields such as product name, description and pricing information. After insertion you can still edit quote-level fields like quantity, applied discounts, line notes and other custom fields to tailor the line item for that specific sales opportunity.
Why should I use the product catalogue instead of entering items manually?
Using the product catalogue ensures accuracy, consistency and speed across all quotes and proposals. Catalogue-driven items reduce manual typing errors, keep pricing consistent across your team and let your sales proposal software pull up-to-date information instantly, saving time and improving professionalism.
Can I edit product line items after adding them to the price table?
Yes. Once a product is added to a price table you can edit quantity, unit price (where allowed), discounts, taxes, line notes and custom fields, reorder or remove lines as needed. These quote-level edits let you tailor each line for the specific client or opportunity while still benefiting from catalogue data.
How does using QuoteCloud's product catalogue improve my sales quoting workflow?
Centralising items in a product catalogue accelerates quote and proposal creation, reduces errors and enforces consistent descriptions and pricing across your team. When combined with QuoteCloud’s document generation and templates, your quote software and proposal software workflows become faster and more professional, allowing reps to focus on closing deals instead of manual data entry.
Will catalogue price updates and accounting integrations (like QuickBooks Online) keep my quotes in sync?
QuoteCloud supports integrations such as QuickBooks Online to streamline accounting and reduce duplicate data entry. Catalogue-managed pricing ensures new product insertions reflect current prices; whether existing proposals update automatically depends on your account settings and sync preferences. You can also update line items manually or use available sync tools to keep your quote and financial records aligned.
