FAQs
What does "Make a Row Full Page Width" do in QuoteCloud?
Turning on the Make a Row Full Page Width toggle makes a selected row of content blocks extend edge-to-edge across the document, ignoring the page margin set in the document layout. This produces banner-style sections that reach the document edges — useful for hero images, full-width pricing panels, or attention-grabbing proposal headers.
How do I enable the full page width toggle for a row?
Select the row you want to change in the document editor, open the row settings or inspector, and switch the Make a Row Full Page Width toggle to ON. The editor will render the row edge-to-edge; export or preview the document (PDF/preview mode) to confirm how it looks in final output.
Which content blocks can be used inside a full-width row?
Most common content blocks work in a full-width row including images, rich text, embedded videos, and interactive pricing or quote tables. Full-width rows are also ideal for call-to-action sections in sales quoting software and proposal software. Some advanced or third-party embedded widgets may still respect internal container limits—test blocks in preview to confirm.
Will making a row full page width affect my document margins and printed output?
The toggle overrides the document's internal margins so the row visually reaches the page edges in the editor and exports. However, printer hardware and PDF viewers can impose their own printable margins or bleed settings, so always check print previews and exported PDFs to ensure the desired edge-to-edge appearance is preserved.
Can I use full-width rows with templates and company branding?
Yes. Full-width rows work with QuoteCloud templates and custom branding, letting you create consistent, branded proposal headers and section breaks across documents. When designing templates for repeated use, verify spacing and background colors across different templates to maintain visual consistency in your sales proposal software and quote software workflows.
How do full-width rows behave on mobile and in embedded proposals?
Full-width rows are designed to be responsive: on narrow screens, content will typically stack or scale to fit while keeping background colors and full-bleed visuals. Interactive elements like smart pricing tables remain functional but may reflow for mobile. Always preview documents on mobile and in any embedded or shared proposal views to confirm readability and interaction.
How can I revert a row back to the normal width or troubleshoot overflow issues?
To revert, open the row settings and toggle Make a Row Full Page Width OFF. If content overflows or looks cropped, adjust block padding, image scaling, or column widths inside the row. For persistent layout problems, test in the PDF export, try a different template, or contact QuoteCloud support with a sample document.
Why use full-width rows in my sales quotes and proposals?
Full-width rows help you create visually striking proposals and quotes that stand out — ideal for hero banners, highlighted pricing tables, and clear section separators. Using edge-to-edge design can increase engagement and make key information (like totals or calls to action) more prominent in sales quoting software and sales proposal software, helping you close deals faster.
