FAQs
What is an E‑Signature Block in QuoteCloud?
An E‑Signature Block in QuoteCloud is a designated area inside a document where a recipient can apply an electronic signature. It marks exactly where a signature is required so signers can complete quotes and proposals without printing or scanning.
QuoteCloud combines e‑signatures with its sales quoting software and sales proposal software features so approvals are embedded directly into your quote or proposal.
Which signing methods does the E‑Signature Block support?
The E‑Signature Block supports multiple signing methods: draw (use a mouse, stylus, or finger), type (enter your name and select a style), or upload an image of a saved/scanned signature. All methods place the signature directly into the block in the document viewer.
How do I sign an E‑Signature Block as a document recipient?
Open the QuoteCloud document in the viewer, click the E‑Signature Block, then choose draw, type, or upload to create your signature. Follow the on‑screen prompts to place and confirm the signature. When you finish, the signature will be embedded in the document.
Do I need a QuoteCloud account to sign a document?
No. Any intended recipient who can access the QuoteCloud document in the viewer can sign using the E‑Signature Block. This makes it fast for customers, prospects, or internal approvers to sign quotes and proposals without creating an account.
Where should I place an E‑Signature Block in my document?
Place the E‑Signature Block wherever a signer must provide approval or acknowledgement — for example at the end of an agreement, next to a signature line, or beside specific clauses that require sign‑off. Clear placement helps recipients know exactly where to sign and speeds approval of quotes and proposals created with your quote software or proposal software.
Who can sign using the E‑Signature Block?
Any intended recipient who has been sent the QuoteCloud document and can access it in the viewer can sign. The block is designed for document recipients — customers, prospects, or internal approvers — to complete signing directly in the quote or proposal.
Can I change or remove my signature after I sign?
Once you complete and confirm a signature it is embedded in the document to preserve integrity. If you need a corrected signature, contact the sender so they can update or reissue the document for a new signature.
What should I do if I can’t see or sign the E‑Signature Block?
If the signature block isn’t visible or won’t accept input, try refreshing the page, using a different browser, or opening the document on another device (mobile supports finger/stylus drawing). You can also upload an image of your signature if drawing or typing fails. If problems persist, contact the document sender or QuoteCloud support for assistance.
