FAQs
What e-signature methods does QuoteCloud support?
QuoteCloud supports three e-signature methods: draw, type, or upload a signature file. Recipients can add their signature directly while previewing documents, making the process fast and flexible for sales quoting software and sales proposal software workflows.
Can I assign a recipient to a specific signature field?
Yes. Each signature field in QuoteCloud can be assigned to a specific recipient so the right person signs the correct section. This makes multi-signature approvals simple and keeps your proposal software and quote software workflows organised and auditable.
Can I upload an image or file of my signature?
Yes. QuoteCloud lets you upload a signature image or file in the eSignature block so recipients can use a pre-made, branded signature when signing documents. This is useful for maintaining consistent signatures across quotes and proposals created with your sales quoting software or proposal software.
Can I draw my signature on a touchscreen or trackpad?
Yes. You can draw a freehand signature directly while previewing the document using a touchscreen, stylus, trackpad, or mouse. This is ideal for on-the-go approvals and speeds up the signing process in quote software and proposal software environments.
Does a signature added in preview mode count as a completed signature?
Yes. If a signature is added in preview mode and the document is shared or sent, QuoteCloud treats it as a completed signature. That signature counts as signing the document, enabling quick finalisation of sales quotes and proposals.
How do I show a pointer or visual cue to indicate where to sign?
Enable the Pointer option in the eSignature block settings to display a visual cue on the document that directs recipients where to sign. This reduces confusion and speeds up approvals when sending quotes or proposals via your quote software or proposal software.
Are e-signatures added in QuoteCloud legally binding and is there an audit trail?
QuoteCloud records signature events and treats signatures added through preview or signing workflows as completed. While many jurisdictions accept electronic signatures as legally binding, legal requirements vary—so review applicable local laws or consult legal counsel for certainty. For compliance and disputes, use QuoteCloud's signing records and metadata to demonstrate who signed and when.
Any tips for faster signing and better results with QuoteCloud?
To speed approvals, assign signature fields to the correct recipients, enable the Pointer option to guide signers, and allow upload of a branded signature image when consistency is important. Test signing on mobile and desktop to ensure the draw and upload flows work for your team—these best practices help close deals faster when using sales quoting software or proposal software.
