FAQs
What does the Gantt Chart feature enable in QuoteCloud?
The Gantt Chart content block in QuoteCloud lets you add and organise tasks directly inside your document to build a visual project timeline. By inserting task names, start/end dates and durations you create a clear schedule stakeholders can view inside your sales quote or proposal.
How do I start adding tasks to a Gantt Chart?
Open the Gantt Chart content block in the QuoteCloud document editor and add a new task entry. For each task enter a name, start date, end date and duration — each entry becomes a row on the timeline that you can include in your quote or proposal document.
Can I customize tasks after adding them?
Yes. After adding a task you can update the task name, change start or end dates and adjust the duration so your timeline remains accurate as the project evolves. These edits immediately update how the task appears in the Gantt Chart content block.
Can I set relationships or dependencies between tasks?
Yes. The Gantt Chart supports dependencies so you can link tasks to start only after another task finishes. This models sequential workflows and critical paths within your project plan, helping you reflect realistic schedules inside your quote or proposal.
What task details can I add to each entry?
At minimum each task can include a task name, start date, end date and duration. These core fields populate the timeline rows and determine how tasks are scheduled and displayed on the Gantt Chart.
How are tasks displayed inside my document?
Tasks appear as rows inside the Gantt Chart content block and are plotted across the timeline based on their start/end dates and durations. This gives a clear visual representation of the project schedule that can be embedded directly within your sales quoting software documents and proposals.
Can I adjust scheduling to reflect project changes?
Yes. You can modify dates and durations for existing tasks and the timeline will update accordingly. When combined with task dependencies, changes cascade to dependent tasks, making it easier to manage shifting schedules in your quote software or proposal software documents.
Can I include the Gantt Chart in my sales quotes or proposals created with QuoteCloud?
Yes. The Gantt Chart content block is designed to be included inside QuoteCloud documents, so you can present a visual project timeline directly within your sales quote or sales proposal. This helps clients understand timelines and milestones as part of your proposal software workflow.
