FAQs
What actions can I perform on shapes and connectors in QuoteCloud diagrams?
In QuoteCloud diagrams you can move shapes and connectors, resize shapes to change their scale, and delete both shapes and connectors. These editing actions let you refine flowcharts, org charts, data models, and other visual models before embedding them in quotes, proposals, or other documents.
Using these tools within your sales quoting software or sales proposal software helps improve layout, visual flow, and readability for customer-facing quote software and proposal software documents.
How do I move a shape or connector within the diagram?
To reposition an element, click the shape or connector and drag it to the new location. The editor automatically updates connections as you move elements so relationships remain clear.
Moving shapes and connectors helps create a clearer, better-organized layout so the flow and relationships are easier for viewers to follow in sales documents or presentations.
Can I resize shapes to improve visual balance?
Yes. Select a shape and click-and-drag its resize handles to enlarge or reduce it. Resizing makes it easy to emphasize key steps, balance spacing, and improve overall readability.
This is especially useful when preparing diagrams for proposals or customer-facing quote documents produced with your quote software or proposal software to highlight important items or simplify complex processes.
How do I delete elements in my diagram?
Select the shape or connector you want to remove, then press the Delete key or use the editor’s delete option. Removing unnecessary or duplicate elements tidies the diagram and clarifies the visual flow.
After deleting, review connected shapes to ensure no orphaned connections remain and that the diagram still conveys the intended process or structure in your sales quoting software or sales proposal software output.
Will moving shapes break connectors or relationships?
No—when you move shapes or connectors the QuoteCloud editor updates the connections automatically so relationships stay intact. This ensures flowcharts and org charts remain readable as you reorganize layout.
If connectors look crowded after a move, you can reposition nearby shapes or resize elements to restore clarity before embedding the diagram in a quote or proposal.
What are best practices for refining shapes and connectors before embedding in quotes or proposals?
Use resizing to emphasize important steps, remove duplicate or irrelevant elements, and maintain consistent spacing to improve visual balance. Group related items and arrange flow direction so readers can follow processes at a glance.
Preview the diagram inside your quote software or proposal software to confirm readability on the final document—clear diagrams help speed approvals and reduce clarification requests from customers.
How do diagram edits affect documents created with QuoteCloud?
Edited diagrams can be embedded into quotes, proposals, and other documents created in QuoteCloud, improving the visual communication of processes, org charts, or data models. Clean, well-organized diagrams make sales documents more professional and easier for clients to understand.
Refining shapes and connectors before embedding ensures your sales quoting software and sales proposal software outputs present a clear, persuasive story to prospects.
Troubleshooting: connectors look broken or an element is orphaned—what should I check?
First, check whether a connected shape was deleted; if so, remove or reconnect any remaining connector lines. Next, select nearby shapes and ensure connection points are properly aligned after moves or resizes.
Finally, tidy up by deleting stray connectors and reflowing adjacent shapes. Regular review after edits prevents orphaned connections and preserves clarity in your quote software or proposal software documents.
