FAQs
What does editing shape text and styles allow me to do?
Editing shape text and styles in QuoteCloud lets you customise the text inside diagram shapes—changing font type, size, colour and basic styling—to create polished, visually consistent flowcharts, organisational charts and data models. These controls help you produce clearer diagrams for proposals, quotes and internal documentation created with sales quoting software or sales proposal software.
How can I change the font and size of shape text?
Select a shape in your diagram and use the formatting toolbar to choose a different font or adjust text size. The toolbar provides quick typography controls so labels and annotations match your design needs and align with your proposal software templates.
Can I modify the colour of the text inside shapes?
Yes. QuoteCloud lets you change text colour inside shapes so you can highlight steps, improve contrast for readability, or match your document's visual theme and brand colours. Use colour deliberately—for emphasis or grouping—rather than as the sole way to convey meaning.
Why is controlling shape styles important?
Consistent colours, fonts and sizes improve readability, create a cohesive visual flow, and make diagrams easier to present and collaborate on. Well-styled diagrams reduce ambiguity in processes and hierarchies—especially important when diagrams are embedded in quotes or proposals generated by quote software or proposal software.
Which types of diagrams benefit most from editing shape text and styles?
Flowcharts, organisational charts and data models benefit most from clear typography and consistent styling. Good text formatting helps viewers follow processes, hierarchies and data relationships more easily, making your sales collateral and internal documentation more effective.
How do styling choices affect diagrams used in sales documents?
Styling choices like font, size and colour help your diagrams match the rest of a proposal or quote, reinforcing branding and improving comprehension. Clear, consistent diagram styling makes proposals created with quote software or proposal software look more professional and reduces the chance of misinterpretation by clients.
What are best practices for colour, font and size in diagram shapes?
Keep typography simple and consistent: limit fonts, use sizes that ensure legibility, and pick colours with sufficient contrast. Reserve bright or contrasting colours for emphasis or grouping, and avoid using colour as the only way to convey critical information to maintain accessibility.
How can I ensure consistent styles across multiple diagrams and documents?
Use the formatting toolbar to set fonts, sizes and colours, and align those choices with your document or proposal templates in QuoteCloud. Consistent template settings and repeated use of the same style choices ensure diagrams remain cohesive across quotes, proposals and other sales documents produced with sales quoting software or sales proposal software.
