Create documents when a stage changes

The Automation Builder makes one kind of rule: when an Opportunity's stage moves to X, create document Y as a draft, or create and send it. Only someone with QC Admin can use it.

Turn on a rule

An inactive rule is a draft. A rule can't be turned on if:

• its object, stage or template isn't available
• another active rule already uses that stage, as each stage can have only one
• it creates and sends, and fails the validation or send checks

Test it first

A dry run uses a sample Opportunity you can read. It doesn't change any records, call QuoteCloud or create a document.

Repeats and history

If the same stage change is processed twice, it can't create a second document. Each rule's history is in Sync Logs, under the category automation-builder.
