Learn how to update forecast confidence levels in the Sales Forecast module. Adjusting confidence levels helps keep your sales forecasts accurate by reflecting the likelihood of each opportunity being successfully closed.
Steps to update forecast confidence levels
Open the Sales Forecast module
Navigate to the Dashboard and click Sales Forecast from the left-hand navigation menu.Locate the opportunity
Find the forecast record you want to update within the forecast table.Find the Probability field
Locate the Probability column associated with the selected opportunity.Open the confidence dropdown
Click the probability dropdown menu to view the available forecast confidence levels.Review available confidence levels
Choose from available options including Very Doubtful (0%), Not Confident (25%), 50/50 (50%), Confident (75%), and Verbal Approval (100%).Select a new confidence level
Click the confidence level that best reflects the likelihood of the opportunity being successfully completed.Verify the update
Confirm that the selected confidence level is now displayed in the Probability field for the opportunity.
