FAQs
How do I create a new product in QuoteCloud?
To create a new product go to Libraries → Products and click Create Product to open the product editor. Then follow the on-screen fields to add product details, select categories and subcategories, configure pricing, review the entry, and click Save to add it to your Product Catalogue.
These saved products are then available when building quotes and proposals inside QuoteCloud’s sales quoting software and sales proposal software.
What product information do I need to enter when creating a product?
At minimum enter the Product Name and Price. You can also complete optional fields such as Price Line Label, Price Line Note, SKU and any other product details your organisation requires. Providing a SKU and clear price line labels helps teams find and use items quickly when creating quotes or proposals.
How do I organize products using categories and subcategories?
When creating a product, choose the appropriate Category from the Category dropdown and, if applicable, select Subcategory and Subcategory 2. Categories and subcategories keep your Product Catalogue organised so sales teams can filter and find items quickly in QuoteCloud’s quote software and proposal software.
How do I configure pricing for a new product so it appears correctly in quotes?
Enter the product price and any additional pricing details (discounts, notes, or alternate price lines) in the pricing section of the product editor. Save the product after reviewing the pricing. The saved price and price-line information populate automatically when the item is added to a quote or proposal generated with QuoteCloud’s quote software and sales proposal software.
What should I check before saving a new product?
Review that the Product Name, Category/Subcategory selections, SKU (if used), and Pricing fields are complete and correct. Verify any Price Line Labels or Price Line Notes for clarity. Once confirmed, click Save to create the product in your Product Catalogue.
Can I edit or remove a product after it’s been created?
Yes. Products saved to the Product Catalogue can be updated or removed as needed—open the product from Libraries → Products, make your changes, and save. For deletions, follow your organisation’s catalogue governance (some accounts may restrict delete permissions to prevent accidental data loss).
Where can I find the Help Center for guidance on product management?
The Help Center is available from within QuoteCloud (look for the Help or Support link/icon). It contains step‑by‑step guides about creating and managing products, using the Product Catalogue, and other features of our proposal and quote software.
How do I get support or check for system outages if I run into issues?
Submit a support request through the Help Center to log an issue or ask a question. You can track the status of your support requests there. The Help Center also lists training materials and, where applicable, a system status or outages page so you can check for known service issues.
