FAQs
What does "full page width" mean in QuoteCloud's editor?
Full page width makes a row extend across the entire document area, ignoring the preset side margins so content (images, background colors, banners, or text blocks) displays edge-to-edge for a seamless, margin-free look.
Why should I enable a full-page-width row in my quotes or proposals?
Enable full-page-width rows to increase visual impact—ideal for hero banners, wide images, full-bleed backgrounds, or large video sections that make your document stand out.
In sales quoting software and sales proposal software like QuoteCloud, full-width sections help your quote software and proposal software outputs communicate key messages more effectively and look more professional.
How do I toggle full-page-width mode on or off for a row?
Hover over the row you want to change, right-click to open the blocks contextual menu, then click the expand-row toggle icon. The icon turns blue when active.
Click the same toggle again to revert the row to the standard layout with side margins.
Where can I find the expand-row toggle if I don’t see it immediately?
The expand-row toggle appears in the blocks contextual menu when you hover over a row and right-click. If it isn’t visible, make sure you've hovered directly over the row area (not an inner block) to reveal the contextual controls; right-clicking on nested elements can hide the row-level toggle.
Do I need to resize images or media when using full-page width?
Yes. Resize or use images that match the full page width so they align perfectly with the expanded row and avoid visible white borders or awkward spacing.
Use high-resolution assets to keep images crisp on large displays and in exported PDFs.
Will a full-page-width row look the same when I export to PDF or share a printed version?
Exported PDFs will preserve the full-width layout visually, but to achieve a clean, edge-to-edge look you must use appropriately sized, high-resolution assets. Small or low-resolution images can look blurry or show margins when rendered in PDF.
Note: if a print workflow imposes physical printer margins, those external margins are separate from QuoteCloud's full-page-width display—test exports before final printing.
Can I make multiple rows full page width or only a single row at a time?
You can make any row full page width—apply the expand-row toggle to each row you want to span edge-to-edge. Repeat the hover → right-click → expand-row toggle steps for every row you want expanded.
Best practices for using full-width rows in sales quoting and proposal software?
Use full-width rows sparingly for high-impact elements like hero banners, product visuals, or key calls-to-action to draw attention without overwhelming the document.
Match image resolution to the page width, maintain consistent branding and contrast for readability, test exported PDFs on multiple devices, and ensure full-width sections complement rather than distract from your pricing and terms—this helps your quote software and proposal software outputs convert better.
