Renaming a Product Category
Keep your Product Catalogue organized by renaming product categories. Update category names quickly to better reflect your products and improve navigation.
Steps to rename a product category
Open the Product Catalogue
Navigate to Libraries , then select Products to display the Product Catalogue and Product Categories.Open the category options
Click the ellipsis ( ⋮ ) icon next to the product category you want to rename to reveal additional options.Select Rename Category
Choose Rename Category from the available options to open the category editor.Enter the new category name
Type the new name for the selected product category in the Rename Category field.Save your changes
Click Save to apply the new category name.Verify the update
Select the renamed category to view the products it contains and confirm the category name has been updated successfully.

How do I rename a product category in QuoteCloud?
Click the ellipsis (⋮) next to the category, select Rename Category, enter the new name, and click Save.
Where can I find the Rename Category option?
The Rename Category option is available from the ellipsis (⋮) menu beside each product category.
Will renaming a category affect the products inside it?
No. Renaming a category only changes its name. All products remain in the same category.
Can I rename subcategories?
Yes. If you have permission, the same process can be used to rename product subcategories.
What happens after I click Save?
The category name is updated immediately and the new name appears throughout the Product Catalogue.
Can I rename a category more than once?
Yes. Categories can be renamed whenever required.
Why can't I see the Rename Category option?
Your user account may not have permission to manage product categories. Contact your QuoteCloud administrator if you require access.
Does renaming a category change product information?
No. Only the category name changes. Product details, pricing, SKUs, and other information remain unchanged.
